Document Capture for Dynamics NAV is an official addon of horizontal functionality that is implemented in Microsoft Dynamics NAV from version 5.0 to the latest in 2016. Document Capture for Dynamics NAV (from now DC) facilitates the incorporation of external documents to our ERP from very diverse sources, such as an email, manually through PDF or automatically through specific physical directories.
Being a horizontal addon allows us to adapt it in a very simple way to:
Business logic of sector
Customer business logic
Handling of specific documentation
Automatic data entry through an OCR (optical character recognition)
This allows us to incorporate the data we have read through the OCR into the ERP, correct them if necessary and incorporate them into the ERP in the form of specific documents, such as invoices or delivery notes.
Purchase approval flow through the ERP or web portal
It adds functionality to the Navision standard with respect to the management of purchase approvals, both from the ERP itself and from the web portal of the latest versions of Microsoft Dynamic NAV.
Digital file of documents
DC digitizes, archives and classifies the processed documents, facilitating access to their history within the ERP. The digital file is NOT stored in the ERP database, but in specific, fully configurable physical directories.
Uploading documents from different sources
The service that incorporates DC makes us a bridge between the OCR and our ERP, allowing us to scan documents through network or local scanners and email.
